Pros: My stay at the hotel america was a very pleasant one,excellent location lovely hotel with helpful staff.

Pros: Hotel was in a good location and breakfast was good for continental. the roof top pool was excellent.
Cons: The only negative is the fact that during our stay on the saturday there was a private function on the roof top pool terrace. we were sent away even though we were guests at the hotel, the party was private and wew were not informed of this which was a shame as our large group of friends were going to have drinks on the roof top pool which would have completed our night. we decided to go to the hotel bar at reception and that was shut due to the staff working for the party. we mentioned this to a member of staff who was quite rude - however the daytime staff and other members were very friendly and positive.

Pros: Staff were very nice, hotel extremely clean. the roof top pool lovely feature of the hotel. could chill and relax after a days sightseeing.

Pros: We stayed at the hotel for a week and it was a lovely experience our room was a good size clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. the pool and hot tub on the hotel roof was a lovely extra to the hotel and we very much enjoyed having the privacy and option to swim whenever we wished to. the hotel location was great it was not central but we were within walking distance of the centre and there were many places to eat near the hotel and venturing out was not a problem because the walk was very enjoyable. i would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to barcelona whether young or old the hotel was lovely and not expensive at all!
Cons: The only negative thing i really have to say about the hotel is that the restaurant should have been open in the evening however we did have room service and the menu itself was good and had lots of choice.

Pros: Excellent staff - nothing was too much trouble and they helped make our stay an enjoyable experience.
Cons: Single room has no outside window as it is situated in the centre of the building - requested a new room and was moved to another without any hesitation.

Pros: Simple and clean
Cons: Loud, noisy, doors banging, no carpet that gave cold feet and a lot of noise recieved from heeled shoes, i asked for a double bedroom and i got a twin bedroom.

Pros: Good for mature travellers who get their entertainment outside of the hotel.
Cons: The only negative point was with the taxi we booked through the hotel. we were charged eur 10 above the meter charge the taxi driver saying this was an extra charge for a saturday!!!
