Very basic but in a good area for la rambles only stayed for a weekend would not recomend for a long stay rooms very small but the hostal was very clean breakfast was in with the price tea coffee from a vending machine on the first floor.cakes were provided which i thought was very quaint.Thornley

Very clean- newly decorated. helpful staff on duty all day and evening. large bath with shower. we had own bathroom near our room. internet.No plugs for bath or basin- reception had no spares when we reported this. several bags of laundry in corridor.Anonymous

It is in a great location (a couple of blocks off la rambla) in el rava, a lively part of barcelona. the metro is close as is the big open air market, many cafes and tapas bars. The walls are very thin and you can easily hear your neighbors, water in pipes, etc. Anonymous

Hotel has got good location, near la rambla. rooms are nice and clean. they don't serve breakfast, but people can help themselves to hot drinks from vending machine in the morning plus some cakes, which was nice.The room we were allocated was very noisy. we couldn't have the window open because there was noise and heat from outside air con unit. air con inside the room was a bit noisy too, but at least there was one. and also, our room was just next to noisy vending machine, which people can use from 7am, so we didn't get much sleep after 7. Hotel aneto looks like it is going to be bad on the outside, covered in scaffolding down a back alley full of graffiti but its not. it is very clean, the staff are pleasent, the location is perfect and all for a good price. room has good air conditioning and a t.v. (all in spanish mind you!). good size bath and shower.The only negative is the exterior, which had no bearing what so ever on our stay. we did have a bag snatched from the cafe over the road and had an attempted pick pocket at the end of the alley way leading onto las ramblas but this is common place all over this area of barcelona, no fault of the hotel - just be on guard!Anonymous

Noise levels were unacceptable, we could hear every word or slightest noise from the room next door and the corridors, i was woken at 6.30 every morning by the noise of what sounded like the corridor being mopped. whilst we were stayint the hotel was under renovation, i would have liked to be warned by email about this. due to the renovation we could not open the windows and due to workman and dust the curtains so the room was very dingy. also on our last night the workmen started drilling into the walls of the room we were staying in whilst we were still in bed, the noise was obviously unendurable. we were not warned that this was likely to happen or offered a discount on our departure. we were not asked on our departure if the stay had been satisfactory. The man at the desk during the day was very pleasant, extremely helpful and well informed.Our room was faulty in that the airconditioning kept blowing a fuse leaving us without ac or lights. by the helpful man at the desk eventually was able to move us to another room so we were satisfied.Anonymous
