Hotel Barbara Barcelona

Room was quite OK. But to close room doors you really have to bang them. So the corridor outside my room was pretty noisy. Staff at reception were pleasant and helpful. Good convenient location. Coffee maker in the breakfast room stopped working.

one word clean no comfort just two beds with a cheap matras rusty bathtubfriendly secretary on the desk and a thanks for the lady who served breakfastpayed too much the hotel can be booked for +- 120 euro for tree nightsi payed 470 euro for 2 persons and tree nights location central close to the la ramblabut also in a neighbourhood with girls of pleasure

It is a nice hotel. We did not need any luxury. We were happy just to have a bed, a toilet and a shower on our room. But.. our window was broken, we could not close our window properly. In February the night are cold and there was street noise. So I had to use my towels to warm me during the night. We asked for another room but.. they were not willing to let us change rooms.But nevertheless we enjoyed Barcelona!! And infact our room, it gave us a story to tell ! The hotel personal was very helpfull in giving us information.

Perfect value for really cheap price. In the middle of the city centre which is really great. Street outside can get a bit noisy at night, but this just gives more feeling of Barcelona life. At night the street is used by prostitutes and other ''criminal'' elements, but they dont seem to care about you at all. Great Pakistani food spot just outside the hotel.

Absolutely NOT SAFE. Very dangerous place and shady location.Very small rooms and the location is in a narrow lane. We were advised not to carry important documents since it dangerous outside. Came late night and saw people walking drunk and behaving in a dangerous manner.

Good value for money. Good service. I shall book tostay there again.I have also recommended other friends about the hotel.

we stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. it's less than a 5 minute walk to la rambla and the metro station. the neighborhood looked scary at first but it was safe, and not scary at all once you get used to it.the hotel was very nice. we took a room for 3 people, it was small but very nice and clean. would definitely stay there on my next trip to barcelona.

Hotel Barbara was a good hotel but it was not in a wonderful location. It was not a far walk from la rambala, and the service was great

Nothing special at all about this hotel but the location is good. Just one minute off La Rambla.The room was clean and had air condition but extremely small. Just two beds and a chair. Almost no space to put your bags and when you opened them on the floor it became a struggle to move around. Also lacks a table or a shelf to put your belongings on.All in all it was ok for a couple of days but if you're planning a longer stay in Barcelona you should problably look for something a little bigger,

This hotel was just about what we'd expected for £50 a night for a twim room. It did the job for a lads weekend but it's not somewhere to take the missus or the family because it's rife with drug dealers, pickpockets and prostitutes day and night!Cleanliness - Hotel reception was ok, rooms a bit grubby, bed covers clean on the top but don't throw the cover back because you might find someone elses belly button fluff and pubes in the bed.Service - 24/7 reception, pretty receptionist, really helpful, gave us a free travel plug, tourist directions, booked taxis and gave us an early morning call for the airport. Location - Perfect, superb location. Only 2mins walk from La Rambla. Value - Cheap and cheerful, bargain £50 a night for a twim room. Rooms - Very basic, two single beds, wardrobe and en suite bathroom. Room was bright with twin shutters to a balcony with a great view of the neighbours laundry and dead rabbit in a cage oh and the prostitutes. Sleep Quality - Slept like a baby after a dozen bottles of beer and a selection of cocktails

The rooms were clean, but small and with old furniture. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Only 2 minutes from Las Ramblas, the hotel is situated at one of the most 'famous' prostitution corners of Barcelona's Raval neighborhood. Given its specific location the hotel was quite a bit cheaper than other comparable hotels in Ciutat Vella. Fine with me!

Pros: Situated in a side street of la rambla and only a few minutes walk from the port. friendly staff, good room for a low price, wonderful shower. i will go there again.

Pros: Man on the front desk very helpful and nice. cheap rooms you get what you pay for
Cons: We were in a tiny little room to start with which felt like a cell with a tiny window which looks at nothing and the shower head was broken and no water pressure and tiny bathroom but then moved to a bigger room with a bigger bathroom and a balcony which was perfect. so ensure to ask for a room with a balcony

Cons: Głośno w hotelu rano , słychać wszystko ( kanalizacje , głośne rozmowy sprzataczek na holu .. )

Pros: Hotel barbara was good value for money and the hotel staff were helpful and well informed.
Cons: It is located in a dodgy area. it is very close to la rambla which was convienient however, it is near a mariner bar with ladies plying their trade on the corner. also, it should be noted on the website that you have to pay extra to use the safe and pay a deposit to watch tv.

Pros: Once we found the hotel we realised how near to all amenities we were. excellent location. friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Difficult to find as name of the street is different at one end than the other. noisy at times and movement sensitive lights on coridoor annoying at night.

Pros: Central location, easy to get to the beach and metro is close by, close to local amenities which makes barcelona cost affective
Cons: Its in the heart of the red ;ight area of barcelona
