Good location and clean room, enjoyed roof top terrace and pool area

The reception staff were very helpful the pool was excellent The air conditioning was not cold enough even when left on on the thursday we came back at 4pm the room had not yet been cleaned and we wannted to take a shower so it wasnt done the price of the breakfast was too high if you only wanted to eat a small amount we dont all eat great big portionsDale

The location was right in the thick of barcelona however the hotel was very quiet whenever we needed to sleep the staff very helpful and the upkeep of the hotel goodWe were asked to pay for the tea and coffee in the room - quite unexceptable and we took our own in
we were charged for the tea and coffee facility in the room
- quite unaceptable considering everywhere else we have stayed world wide it is complementary. also the bed was rock hard which just took the edge off a perfect holiday and would be the only reason we would'nt use this hotel againAnonymous

Great location, staff very friendly!Pool is very very misleading and dissapointing. you can't swim with more than 2 people in the pool without someone accidently bumping into you under water. not ideal and very misleading picture on the website!! not happy with pool area!Anonymous

Our stay was really good from location to the comfort and the staff being very helpfull and pleasant, no noise, good location and very comfy bed. the hotel enhanced our enjoyment of our stay enormously. i would highly reccommend it to anyone.Nothing at all !Anonymous

Very central location. handy for bus to airport, tourist bus, lots of little backstreet shops and tavernas. square just outside hotel had market and lots oflittle festivals during our stay. our flight home wasn't until 10pm and the reception staff offered to look after our luggage for us following check-out. couldn't have been better! Nothing at all - i would recommend this hotel to anyone.Anonymous

The room was perfect - size especially good & tea and coffee making facilities wonderful as unusual when staying in hotels in europe. the staff were particularly friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble and they really couldn't do enough to make your stay pleasurable. location of hotel was perfect - close to everything. double glazed windows kept out any noise and air conditioning was effective and quiet.None whatsoever!Anonymous

Comfortable, extremely clean excellent staff ideal central positionCentral heating far too hot. air conditioning did not seem to work on our first night and we had to sleep with the window open which made the soundproof rooms pointless.we t, each time old reception next day and they fixed the air con but the hotel in general was still too hot each time you opened the door to the corridor from your room it was like walking into a sauna. why do hotels have the heating so high.breakfastwas not worth the money, i asked for lightly boiled eggs and got one raw egg i sent this back and and awaited another which was not much better than the first, we refused to pay for this 15 e was far too expensive for the food but i think you probably had to pay extra for the lovely environmentAnonymous

Great location beside cathedral and only 3 mins walk to la ramblas/ 5 mins tp pl. de catalonia. nice modern hotel, lovely bathroom and planty of bath products. however we couldn't find any documents outlining prices for the mini-bar and were charged 3 euros for a large bottle of water - having read other reviews beforehand i thought the water was free! just 1 small bottle was free (between 2 people!). nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room as many hotels in barcelona do not provide this.Hotel and room were very warm and a bit claustrophobic at night due to not being able to open the window fully, no balcony or terrace to walk out onto to get a bit of air. breakfast very expensive so we didn't try the retaurant at all. you can get breakfast very cheaply in local cafes and plenty of places to eat out. floor wasn't very clean and sheets not changed during our stay.Anonymous

The rooms were nice and clean and the staff were helpful.Although booked as a double no smoking room there were only twin rooms or smoking rooms available when we arrived. we were moved the next day into the room next to the elevator which is really noisy and had to settle for a quite smoking room that was deoderised. also you have to buy extra tea and coffee sachets if you use them and are there for more than one night.
