This hotel is so central, Breakfast was a nightmare though, too little room for gettign tea coffee leads to queues, lack of cutlery, food leads to more queues would suggest re thinking the whole breakfast set up, as at €11.99 it is not cheap for what we got and the lack of service and organisation. Hotel room was lovely clean, only drawback there was no hot water in the evening for a shower which wa much needed after a long day touring around. Shower in morning was fabulous.

Everything worked fine: booking, reception, wifi, cleaning, etc. The room was quite small, but big enough for two, and clean.There were water bottles available in a fridge in the corridor, which was nice. In 2nd floor there was an "internet/photoshop (!) corner" which I used to print some tickets I had bought online.Breakfast seemed a bit pricey at 11 €, so we didn't include it in our order. (It seemed quite normal, no luxury there either.)

The best thing about this hotel is the location! Just a short walk to la ramblas and the beach, and surrounded by lots of trendy bars and restaurants. There is a metro station just at the end of the street. The rooms were very clean any tidy, although the bed was a little hard I didn't find it mattered. Staff are helpful and friendly. I would definitely book this hotel again.

We booked this hotel on the back of TripAdvisor reviews so had our eyes open to the potential of noise from the street. We asked not to be on the first floor, but perhaps should also have asked to be at the back of the hotel as life never seems to stop in Barcelona. The room was a bit chilly and the heating system never seemed to really make an impact - but it was February! Extra blankets on the bed kept us warm over night. By far the best thing was the shower - the best we've ever had in a hotel room. Free water available is just a very nice touch. We even managed to get up onto the terrace and enjoy the cloudless blue February sky and weak but warming sun after a very long day sightseeing. Overall, a very adequate hotel, in a fantastic location (6 minute walk from Estacio de Franca trains) and almost opposite Brunells - THE BEST CAFE AND PATISSERIE IN ALL OF BARCELONA!

Modern, clean and when we stayed quiet hotel, well placed for city attractions with good restaurants and bars within easy walking. Nearest metro about 400 metres. Good value.Our second stay but probably not our last.

Pros: The best location och very friendly staff! very clean room!
Cons: They didnt have a water boiler but they did everything to help us to get warm water to the babyfood.

Pros: The size of the room, the location were perfect. i really appreciated the free bottles of water.

Pros: We needed to overnight in a hotel close to the franca train station, and hotel ciutat could not have been more perfect. it was upscale (for the price), clean, and pleasant. when we arrived in barcelona, we were too exhausted for much touring, and yet the picasso museum is practically across the street. the location was great. no... this is not a 5 star hotel ... but you can't beat the price, and we had a perfect experience

Cons: Depending on where your room is located, it can be very loud on the street at night, because the hotel is in the heart of an area with a lot of young people and nightlife. on the first of our two visits, it was noisy to the wee hours (but we slept through most of the revelry); but on the second of our visits, we were in a room with a view of a deserted alley and it was extremely quiet and easy to sleep.

Pros: Room is just so-so , however the bathroom is excellent. the roof terrace and pool are a real added value.
Cons: The roof pool was not clean and the skimmer was not working making the water not really clean. no way to have an iron and a board to iron some clothes beforegoing out.

Pros: In a great location. 5 minute walk from the train station and only a 10 minute walk from la ramblas. staff very helpful.
Cons: Nothing negative about the hotel but be very wary of pickpockets. had a bad experience on the metro.
