Hotel Condado Barcelona is easy to find, located on Carrer Aribau between Travessera de Gràcia and Avenida Diagonal, two of the city’s most well-known streets.
The Eixample is the modernist residential and commercial area which stems upwards and outwards from the Plaza Catalunya, its famous grid system of straight streets designed in the 1860s to accommodate the old city’s swelling population. Most of the apartments in the Eixample are within easy walking distance from Paseo de Gracia with its two wonderful modernist period buildings by Antoni Gaudi and other architects.
The Eixample is very well connected, and from here you can easily walk or take buses or taxis to the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas for attractions such as the Picasso museum and the Cathedral.
How to reach the Hotel Condado?From Barcelona El Prat airport: take the Aerobus to Plaza Catalunya and once there take the Ferrocarrils Catalans and get off in Gracia. The hotel is around 500 meters from the stop.
From Sants train station: take the underground L3 line to Plaza Catalunya and follow above indications.

Great hotel, nice and clean and good sized rooms + good price - however see below for bad location/noiseLocated right across the road from 2 x 24 hour clubs which played incredibly loud base until around 6am on friday and saturday and sunday mornings... ruined the whole nice hotel experience. if you stay here make sure you book a room at the back of the hotel - not one that overlooks the streetAnonymous

Stayed in a double room at the hotel over a long weekend in late october. the room was nicely furnished & spotlessly clean. the communal areas of the hotel were also pleasant & well maintained. the staff at reception were extremely helpful & spoke excellent english. the free minibar on each floor (for water, diet coke & canned beer) was also a much used & appreciated part of the stay.Despite having specifically asked for a double bed during the booking process we were initialy given a room with two single beds pushed together. when we pointed this out we were given another room in which two single beds had been pushed together under the bedding. this was a lot better than the first room but not quite the double bed we'd asked for. this was a relatively minor point in what was otherwise a very pleasant stay.Anonymous

Basic room, nice to have access to free bottled water, convenient to downtown area. one surprise though was they ask for your passport - a legal requirement - but they sent us off to our room while they entered in the needed information - this was a little disconcerting - everyting was ok but it was a surpriseBATES
