Hotel Cuatro Naciones Barcelona    

A very enjoyable stay in the heart of the city. Hotel has plenty of past history but may be in need of freshening-up.Very clean, good sized room. And a full continental breakfast on offer. 24 hour reception is a good advantage for the night revellers. Surprisingly quiet at night despite being on the very busy LA RAMBLA.

This hotel is very good situation on the Rambla, but in Sommer, i think many noise. The personnal of the hotel is very nice and obliging.The room for the price is good and clean.Another time, I returned in this hotel but I asked a room behind, not on the rambla'street, because some noise in the summer.I thank all the people of the hotel and I wish you a good journey

charche a little more for breakfast en serve a better breakfast, because is was too simpel and teastless, use fresh products pleaseregards Jolanda take fresh breat, real butter, fresh meat boilted egg, baken eggs , scrambeld egg saucesis frsh fruit and fresh marmelade, and a better coffeemachine, with real coffeebeans

Nice and clean hotel with central location. Comertable beds. I can absolutly stay there again, next time I go to Bareclona!

We will definitely be back!!! This hotel is greatly located in the center of the town with easy access to metro, bus, etc. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the rooms are pretty clean and neat.

Very good location at southern end of La Rambla, close to Metro. Reception staff very helpful. Rooms basic but bonus free wifi and free safety deposit box in room. Breakfast disappointing and croissant was always stale/dry but breakfast was available from 7am-11am. Expensive for what you got but guess that's Barcelona prices.

We had a triple room with airco at Ramblas site of the hotel. No sounds from outside and rather from the other guests inside.Possibility to leave your luggage in a closed room and pick it up later.Breakfast simple but good.Will certainly book this hotel for another trip to Barcelona.

This hotel is only two(2) star, the only item missing (bearing in mind it was August and very warm) was a fridge, but after the first day we adapted and did'nt miss it so much as we first thought. The location is brilliant, right on the Rambla's. Breakfast is continental and you can eat as much as you like. Finally the staff we're very friendly and helpful.Excellent for the price. Would go there again.

Nice hotel at a good price. Good location on La Rambla. But without any special charm. While the likes of Chopin stayed there, you shouldn't expect to meet him there...

My wife and I stayed for a 3-night weekend break and the Hotel was exactly what we were after. We were right on La Rambla, near the southern end, with a room directly over the street. Yes, it was noisy. And yes, we did struggle to sleep somewhat, despite the adequate double glazing. But we were here for a city break, not relaxing serenity. The room was simple but clean, with TV and a/c. At less than 100Euros a night, including breakfast, we couldn't have asked for more from a base to explore the city and I would happily return here for similar visit.

IIt is a nice hotel with cleanliness rooms and good sleep quality. It is in the center of the ramblas and near to placa de catalunja.

The hotel has a good location. Has all you need for a night's rest. Polite and attentive staff. Please note that the breakfast quite modest.

Hotel on the main Ramblas area had no problems staff helpful. Price was good rooms clean. Continental breakfast good at the end of the day you get what you pay for if you want a four star hotel you pay for it.

The hotel was exactly good for a city trip. It was clean and very perfect located. The bed was too short for my husband. He is 1.86m. Not specally tall for a dutch man.The breakfast was not really "continental". The bread was not fresh and there was only sweets for on bread. This could be better.

After a 7 day mediterranean cruise, we stayed in Cuatro Naciones for 2 nights. The location cannot be beat, and if you like to watch the city hustle-bustle, stay in the front of the hotel. The first night (Sunday), involved a lot of noise late in to the night, with even frequent police sirens around the area. There hundreds of souvenir shops, & restaurants, as well as several hotels, the street is literally crawling with tourists, street sellers, and artists posing as statues & mimes. There is a tiny balcony where we stood to watch the fun. It is really busy until even midnight, so if quiet is important to you, ask for a room in the back. It is awesome to be to just step out into the street & find buses, metro & taxis to everywhere. It is walking distance to cathedral & the Placa Catalunya which has the stop for Hop-on Hop-off bus, City Hall, lots of small boutiques, & many high end stores. The room size is great, with plenty of space to move around, & open bags. A squeeze to get by to the wardrobe, which had deep shelves, hanging rod, and a heavy duty safe to secure valuables, large enough to even accommodate laptop. There is a flat screen TV with remote, a credenza for bags, & space below for shoes. There are 2 single and 1 double beds for a family of 3. Mattresses are fairly comfortable, bedding is adequate for the weather, everything smelled reasonably fresh. Nice solid construction of room, beautiful floors, bathroom has tub, handheld shower, and a bidet.The hotel is run by the owner, everyone is friendly, helpful, and definitely take pride in the hotel. The place is family-run for more than a century, and the building has a historic charm merged with modern looks.The issues: 1) Nothing other than desk, lamps, beds, wardrobe & safe in room! Not even tea/coffee machine, let alone fridge, microwave, etc. 2) The door to the balcony involved a struggle to close each time, two people had to hold it to be able to jam the closer in the hole in the middle. 3) Bathroom has very very limited storage. Almost no place to hang anything without falling into either toilet or bidet! Or keep toiletries around sink area. 4) Breakfast is entirely avoidable. There are dry packaged toasts, tea biscuits, beverages, cold milk, cornflakes & cocopops, 1 fresh croissant, tuna patties (which we could not eat because we are vegetarian), and nothing else. For the money charged to the room price for "breakfast included", there is a lot more available outside to start your day.

If you are looking for an affordable and well placed hotel situated right on La Rambla then Hotel Cuatro Naciones is for you. It is only 2 star and has seen better days, but it is comfortable and cheap and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Very nice people, rooms were clean and we had a balcone which was very nice. Breakfast was sober but fine. The hotel is near a lovely placa and on the Ramblas.

Perfect place to stay in Barcelona - great location right on the Las Ramblas street, absolutely clean and comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good, 24h free internet. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Will definitely stay there again!

A hotel with a bit of character and history. The room was only small but was clean. The staff where all helpful. If i return to barcelona i would stay there again.

This hotel is clean and tidy, and right on La Rambla. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our bed was pretty uncomfortable, and it is noisy at night (although ear plugs sorted this out), but overall this is a good value for money hotel and we would stay there again.
