Hotel Curious Barcelona    

We had a couple of nights here in November 2012 and was perfect for us - we wanted to be close to the centre and port. Easy palce to find, pleasant staff, nice clean room. Breakfast was great and as we had to leave early the second day they let us in eat early.

We had two nights here and would have liked to stay longer. Just around the corner from the fabulous La Boucheria market, a short walk to La Ramblas, neat and clean rooms, a great breakfast and friendly staff. Thankyou

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Curious in Barcelona for a long weekend in early March 2012. We cannot recommend the hotel enough! It is ideally situated just off Las Ramblas, the notorious main road in Barcelona, approx 4 roads down from Placa Catalunya at the Northern End. The staff (especially Matteau) are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable/helpful. There is someone on reception 24 hours a day and reception and the rooms are very secure. The rooms are all unusually designed with different elements in mind - i.e. water, air, earth, fire. They are basic rooms but contain virtually everything that you could need during your stay, are very comfortable and clean. Our room (water) had a nicely dressed double bed, wardrobe/table/chair, full length mirror, bedside units and en suite shower room. It also had double doors opening out onto a balcony towards the back of the hotel, which was really refreshing when opened late at night or early in the morning. We also had a flat screen tv with numerous channels (mainly Spanish!). We found our room to be very peaceful and heard very little noise, if any, which made for a good night's sleep! The only thing that we felt could improve the room would be tea and coffee making facilities. The room was thoroughly cleaned and the bedding/towels changed every day. The hotel also provided a full spread of breakfast between 8 and 11 am each day - cereals, breads, croissants, dairy products, cakes, tea/coffee/juice, etc - in a nicely decorated and clean breakfast room, which was also staffed. We were also given a discount card from the hotel for local bars, restaurants and shops to use during our stay. Hotel Curious is just a few hundred yards away from Liceu underground station, which can take you all over Barcelona. We would definitely recommend Hotel Curious to friends and family. Pros: Brilliant location and 24 hr desk, friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast could be more varied

Pros: Excellent location, comfy beds and powewrfull shower. interior design is great and quirky.
Cons: One member of staff had to be reminded 3 times to get me a room key, and still didn't bring it!

Pros: Staff were excellent and spoke good english especially the lady. location was great, breakfast was good,

Pros: The hotel greeted us warmly on our arrival. matio got a map out and showed us all the places worth a visit. the rooms were clean and had a good shower in the bathroom. the breakfast was good, continental. it was never too busy at breakfast. it is just off the ramblass down a street. i would stop there again if visiting,
Cons: Put your wallets in your front pockets men. we were aware that it is a pick pocketers heaven. they will be friend you whist someone else takes your wallet. this happened to us on our walk to our hotel. be wary of everyone.

Pros: The hotel location was great, and the staff very courtious

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms were spotless and comfortable. the location could not have been better.

Pros: Excellent location just off la rambla, nice and quiet despite proximity to lots of bars etc. room very clean. felt nice and secure. air conditioning worked well (essential!). staff spoke english and were very friendly, they let me leave luggage there after checking out.
Cons: Room very small; bed and bedding comfortable but not the best.

Pros: Apart from our toilet breaking down the last night of our stay everything else about this hotel was excellent. the room decor was remarkable. will recommend it to all.

Pros: The front of house staff could not have been more helpful and friendly .everyone spoke good english.as soon as we arriverd they warned us about the strike in spain on the 29th, and spent a lot of time on the computer and phone making inquries.with there early help we where some of the few people that managed to get home on the 29th.without the help we may have not been able to get home for 2days.they were fully aware what type of room i had asked for and who we were on arrival.what a great location and how easy to find would go again, no problem
Cons: no, apaert from the strike taking the shine of oue couple of days away

Pros: Great location and very quiet considering its location, room compact but fine for one person, comfy beds and friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast adequate but not inspiring - would have been happier sitting in a cafe and getting fresh coffee and pastries and saving some money.

Pros: The hotel is very central situated. it is quite basic and modern. the room at the back of the hotel was very sillent. the bed was very comfortable. good breakfast.
Cons: The rooms are spartan dressed. it felt a bit like a sanctuary, which didn't apply to our wish for a romantic honeymoonnight.the price was rather high for what was being offered. i had a room in madrid four times as big and better decorated for the same price. but i know barcelona is expensive.

Pros: Very clean and mondern hotel. has all of the mod cons and is very central. i really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend this to every one.

Pros: This is a lovely hotel, great free breakfast and in the centre of all the action and near to the place de cataluyna & ramblas
