Barcelona is a wonderful city, and the very good location of this hotel allowed us to make the most of it.Lots of amenities and things to see within walking distance, or a short stroll to Diagonal Metro Station or the Provenca Trainline and you'll find yourself 3 or 4 stops from pretty much everywhere you'd want to go, although it takes a few days to work out which exit from the metro is the one nearest the hotel!The staff were extremely helpful, the cleaners even going so far as to lay out our sons pajamas every day, our only slight issue would be that our beds were a little on the hard side, apart from that we are totally happy with our choice of hotel.If you fancy staying somewhere near the hotel to eat we can strongly recommend the Balmes/Rosselo Restaurant (its unsurprisingly on the junction of Balmes/Rosselo), avoid Piscobar Tapas Restaurant as it looks good but the food and service were rubbish.

Pros: Enjoyed our stay at this hotel which is very clean and efficient. staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good - plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and a supermarket directly across the road.

Cons: The rooms are tiny, although the location is theoretically perfect, the fact that the hotel is far from the metro station poses a big accessibility problem

Pros: Very good hotel, staff friendly and helpfull. we managed a good 3 day room rate which made it very cost affective. room was small but all that we would want, clean and tidy. location was just enough away to be a little'local' but within easy distance from the main tourist areas. great bars and restaraunts around the hotel.
Cons: Nothing to complain about. would suggest that you brush up on a little spanish in the area as english is a struggle in nearby bars but that is also the appeal of the location!

Pros: The staff were kind and polite. rooms clean.
Cons: Very bad sound-insolation. you could clearly hear people snoring and talking from the room next door. a triple room is a double room with an extra bed, which makes it a very small room. i would have preffered to pay for only a double room with an extra bed, which is much cheaper.

Pros: Very clean, modern and a great location.
Cons: The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. the buffet breakfast was over-priced.

Pros: Good location; central yet safe. room was spacious and very clean. no disturbances from road noise etc. immediate local area good for reasonably priced spanish tapas bars (especially enjoyed the tapas bar across the road opposite the hotel, last bar before the junction!) hotel staff friendly.
Cons: This is the only four star city hotel that i have stayed in that did not have complimentary bottles of water in the room (small bottles were in the mini bar but priced at 2.50 each!!!!). there was a supermarket over the road though so not such a problem, unless you arrive at the hotel late.

Pros: Pleasant and helpfull staff, good daily cleaning of room. easy to use car park.
Cons: Tv a bit small n cheap for 4 star hotel, air con/heater didn't actually heat at all (i am a heat air engineer so it wasn't through lack of knowledge). only established as woke up freezing with heater/air con blowing cold after setting to 23 degrees
