Felipe 2 is located in one of the most famous quarters of Barcelona - Eixample. It is only a few minutes away from Plaza Cataluña and it is very easy to use the public transportation to move around the city.
How to reach the Hotel Felipe 2? How to reach the Hotel Felipe 2?

1) From Barcelona-El Prat International airport, by Train: Take the RENFE train R10 to "Passeig de Gràcia" train station. Once here take the yellow line L4 towards “Trinitat Nova” and get off at “Verdaguer” station. The hotel is at walking distance from the station.

2) From Barcelona-El Prat International airport, by bus: Take the Aerobus outside the airport and get off at Plaça Catalunya. Once here take the green line L3 towards "Canyelles" and get off at “Diagonal” station. The hotel is at walking distance from the station. The Aerobus service normally runs every 15-minutes. You can catch it from outside all 3 airport terminals.

Clean room, balcony in a double with ensuite toilet and shower. great part of town, close to a metro, quiet area, would stay there again, not the ritz carlton but excellent value for money.

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Not as close to attractions as the website suggests but still reasonable distance away from the majority of attractions. main problem was with easytobook.com which made a mistake with our booking so we did not have toilets in our rooms as we had booked but the hotel reduced the price to reflect this. very basic but suited us as we were only there to sleep.

The room was very clean,even with new sheets. the location is excellent. i would definitely stay there again.

There is no sound insulation from anything! feels like the walls are made of paper and you can hear everything. the buzzers to the other apartments, the staff talking at the hotel and mostly the elevator. that is incredibly loud. avoid room 3b

The location was great, barcelona is a very walkable city and the area around the hotel is safe. the staff are helpful.
My single room was a bit too cramped.

The location was absolutely fabulous. it was very near to shops restaurants and a metro stop. the owners were friendly and the room was cleaned daily. there was a laundromat just across from the hotel. it was very quiet which was great for us. i would definitely stay here again.

The booking was not finalised by easytobook, but fortunately there was a room free. the room was basic. the shower had ants and if you wanted hot water for a shower you had to get up earlier.

I had booked on this hotel but when we arrived we where informed that they would take us at a different location. fortunately the place they took us to was much better, located downtown, near la ramplas and the marina.
They first charged the rooms on our visa, and then they told us that we would stay at a different hotel!!!! the place is stated as a hotel at easybook but in reality it is actually a hostel!

When we were first lead to the room at 1pm, i noticed that it is missing a balcony and it is infact a small room but not the one that fits the description of the one i have booked. i mentioned that to the reception and he suggested that we be moved to another location (which is nearer to la ramblas) and we agreed. the room we moved to is larger, brighter and it comes with a balcony. however, someone else has just checked out and they have not clean it yet so he asked us to walk around and checked in later but we didn't want to and he arrange for a cab (free of charge) along with 2 cleaners and drove us over to the new place and get it straigten up right away. overall, a fairly good service.
The room does not fit the description in the first place, no balcony. even though we were moved, the new room has a balcony but it is not an air condition room like the information provided in the site. it is because of the air condition that we choose the room in the hotel in the first place. second of all, the hotel is not that easy to find. although it is located near sagrada familia but it's area are not busy and the main entrance is very dodgy.definitely not a place for two girls to stay alone and get back home safely around night time. it is not as near to la ramblas as we thought it would be. the place they moved us to after we complained is nearer to la ramblas and much safer with more restaurants below. i believe its under the management of hotel felipe but not the hotel itself.

Our room was well located.
I'm very disappointed with this hostal felipe 2. the room they gave us didn't match with that one shown on their website. i had a conversation with the others guests next door about this problem and they confirmed that the felipe 2's website pictures didn't match. i probably won't use this easybook anymore. i think you should check the hotels before put them in your list. thanks
