Hotel Glories Barcelona was opened in April 1995 and refurbished in November 2002. It is a fabulous hotel designed for your comfort. All rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, heating (both can be individually regulated), direct telephone, satellite TV, a mini bar, a bathroom, free toilet set, hairdryer and a safe box. Hotel Glories Barcelona has reception service 24 hours a day and buffet breakfast available from 7am to 10.45am. There is also a meeting room.

Hotel Glories Barcelona is located in the new Glories commercial and business area, just a few minutes from the Auditorium, the Catalonia National Theatre and very close to the Sagrada Familia temple and the Olympic Village. The city center is two stations away on the underground or 5 minutes by taxi.

The hotel is located between Avenida Diagonal and Gran Via, about 1,700 metres from Paseo de Gracia, the Olympic Port and Barcelona beaches.
How to reach the hotel? How to reach the hotel?

From Barcelona El Prat airport:

- By train: take Renfe line 10 for four stops and get off at Passeig de Gracia station. Take Metro line 2 towards Pep Ventura and get off at Monumental. Calle Padilla and the Hotel are just a few meters away.

- By bus: take the AeroBus (it departs every 12 minutes) towards Barcelona and get off in Plaza España. Once there take bus line 56 towards Besós Verneda and after 12 stops get off at Gran Vía / Padilla. Cross Gran Via on foot and you will find the hotel just a few metres away in Calle Padilla.

Helpful staff, clean rooms, very good food
The bar friges in both of the rooms i was given during my 10 day stay were inside enclosed cupboards. since a frig works by pumping heat from the inside to the outside, and since it generates even more heat by doing this, the space around the frig became heated. as a result, things in the frig were not cool. butter that was solid when kept outside the frig, melted when placed in it! i suggest the doors of the cupboards which enclose the bar friges be taken off and the temperature be checked.

Couldn't regulate the temperature of the room. it was either hot or hotter! windows let in a lot of noise from the busy road below. no mention of busy road in booking description.

Absolut top für ein 3 sterne hotel.
Leider liegt das hotel neben einer stark befahrenen straße, daher ist es etwas laut.

In generale il mio giudizio è positivo: la camera era confortevole e accogliente, pulita e sufficientemente grande. purtroppo era interna e, non potendo aprire la finestra sono stata costretta a tenere il condizionatore sempre acceso per mantenerla fresca.
Solo una dipendente alla reception, di nome leo, è stata poco cortese e disponibile alle mie richieste di informazione. pur non avendo risposte non si è premurata di fornirmele come ha fatto invece il dipendente del pomeriggio.
