How to reach the Hotel Ingles?From Barcelona El Prat airport: Take the RENFE train to Passeig de Gracia. Once there interchange to L3 undergound's line towards Zona Universitaria and get off in Liceu. The hotel is just opposite to the metro stop.
From Sants train station: Take the underground L3 line towards Canyelles and get off in Liceu. Ths hotel is just opposite to the metro stop.

Centraal gelegen hotel in het midden van de gotische wijk. leuke straatjes. personeel is vriendelijk. hotel is simpel maar prima voor een kort verblijf in spanje waar de winkels pas om half tien sluiten en je daarna kan gaan eten. 
We hadden de aanbiedingskamers aan de straatkant. daar is 24 uur per dag lawaai van deurmelders, verkopers, en 's nachts van buiten drinkende en pratende mensen. verbinding met internet was er alleen in de publieke ruimte (gang) op de eerste verdieping.
het bad in onze kamer was een half bad (douche) zonder stop. satelliet televisie klinkt leuk maar er waren maar 17 lokale kanalen. de kluis in de kamer kost 2 euro extra per dag. de twee losse bedden schuiven op hun wielen telkens uit elkaar. toch hadden we een leuk verblijf aangezien het leven zich in spanje voornamelijk op straat afspeelt!Anonymous

Great position and was lovely to watch the world go by from our balcony, would have been nice to have a chair to sit on, but we really enjoyed our stay hereNo drink making facility in the room but we did read reviews before hand and realised this was the case so took a small travel kettle etc with usAnonymous

The hotel was reasonably priced and in an excellent position in barcelona. we wanted a 1 day stop over before joining our cruise ship and it fitted the bill.there is a bar/restaurant attached next door and plenty of places to eat locally. we all slept well and arrived refreshed.There was a slight issue with water on the bathroom floor.owen

Awesome location, right in the best part of the gothic quarter! polite staff. large, clean room with a window and a balcony overlooking the pedestrian street. comfortable beds. newly tiled and renovated bathroom. a safe in the closet. One tiny improvement would have made it perfect: air conditioning. the rambla is very lively all night, which we loved, and our room had brand new windows that blocked the sound really well. only thing was, when they were closed it was like an oven inside, with just a little fan blowing the hot air around! so...we had a choice: either cool and noisy or quiet and hot!! we got by with the windows open and earplugs in...(3 or 4 mini-sleeps a night!)
of course we expect 'basic' in a 1 star, but truly, air conditioning cannot be considered a luxury in barcelona in august...more like a necessity!

It was very clean and tidy. we could come and go as we pleased with the 24 hour reception. the location was very central, quite close to the beach and within walking distance to attractions.The noise from the streets below was sometimes a bit much and the room would get very warm if we closed the balcony door to shut out the noise as there were no windows.
