How to reach the Hotel Silken Diagonal?From Barcelona-El Prat International airport, by Train: Take the RENFE train R10 to "Passeig de Gràcia" train station. Once here take the metro L1 red-line, towards "Fondo" and get off at "Glòries" station. The hotel is at walking distance from the station. The Aerobus service normally runs every 15-minutes

Great design hotel, in a quiet but central area of barcelona, with easy access to metro, tram and buses.
Bathroom is not pratical and cleanign products had a strong smell.Anonymous

Location is perfect! shops and carrefour only 5 min away. also the metro is a big plus which makes traveling easy. the hotel itself is good, very slow internet though but all other facilities were ok.The bed was to my opinion very hard, but thats just something personal i guess. the swimmingpool is also very little, you can better call it a hug bath because you cant swim in it... a pity but that was something we knew already...Anonymous

It was great! very nice room, excellent service, wounderful facilities, e.g. free internet or swimming pool in the roof. every day we found our room cleaned and smelling nice. great deal, good price for the excellent service! only one problem that i thought we will be able to access city center by walking, but we needed to use metro (2 stops), the hotel is 2-3 miles from the city center. but the price is good anyway!Anonymous

We only used the hotel as a base - we did not eat there. our room was clean, comfortable, spacious. only complaint was that the electric blinds at the windows were very noisy - we could hear the blinds in other bedrooms and therefore other people could hear ours! shower over the bath was a bad design - water went everywhere! i would recommend the hotel to all the groups mentioned below... as long as they appreciate modern design.Anonymous

The main focus point is the bathroom and the corridors.it is near sagra da familia. you can see this on the roof top.You had to pay to use internet services. the swimming pool is smaller than how it appears on the website (all incl hotel website)Van der Schaaf

The staffs' knowledge of the english language is excellent. and they were very helpfull with providing information,calling cabs etc...There was a problem with the water supply for about 8 hours. the hotel gave us some free drinks, but this is in my opinion not the way to compensate guest for not bein abe to shower..Anonymous

The hotel is modern and the rooms are well kitted out. the shower is behind a screen rather than a wall - great if you like to show off or watch tv while you shower. embarrassing if you are a new couple. the roof top pool is small but a lovely place to lie in the sun drinking cocktails with chilled out music - i forgot to ask what the cd was. visit the rooftop bar at night too for a view of the city by night (check the times as it closes early). the metro station is 2 minutes away which is convenient. there's a shopping mall across the road too. it's 10 mins walk to the sagrada familia. i would definately go back to this hotel.When you order a taxi make sure you have checked out first. the taxi arrived early and there was a queue at reception which cost us £8 in waiting time!
