Hotel Emilia is a wonderful hotel. The staff and the comfort of the hotel made our week stay in Barcelona very enjoyable. It is in a convenient location,the staff is very helpful,and the food is great! We would recommend it to friend.s

"Beautiful lobby"

Pros: Beautiful lobby. helpful staff. clean modern rooms.
Cons: Buffet breakfast was good, but a little pricey. towels were new and left white cotton all over after drying body. maid entered room to clean one day (do not disturb sign was posted) which is a huge issue with my wife. called down to complain and hotel offered us free dinner or breakfast and bottle of local kava. guy that ran front desk when we checked in could blow his nose and have teeth cleaned a bit...

altough it's not located in the city center, it is located in a quiet street 2-3 minutes walk from rocafort metro.

in general - we had an excellent stay at this hotel

Pros: This is a fabulous hotel in a great location. sitting on the roof terrace with a chilled glass of white wine was a lovely way to round off a busy day of sight seeing in barcelona!

"I found the staff very freindly and helpful"

Pros: I found the staff very freindly and helpful. the hotel was very clean and modern. the location was good, although a bit of a walk from la ramblas there was a metro station on the next corner which made it only 5 mins from the hotel to la ramblas. even though the hotel is set on a fairly busy crossroads, the street noise was fairly neglibible in the hotel.
Cons: Breakfast - i'm not sure it was worth 12 euros, it was a bit chaotic with food, cuttlery etc running out.

Pros: A very classy hotel with very friendly staff who were very attentive. the rooms were brilliant and always cleaned to high standard. the terrace bar is amazing and almost worth booking the hotel for the bar!
Cons: Breakfast very pricey for what you get.

"Our first time in barcelona and the hotel fulfilled its promise of both..."

Pros: Our first time in barcelona and the hotel fulfilled its promise of both comfort and luxury. the hotel is very lovely and has spacious rooms and modern design. the location is good for us- away from the buzz of busy streets but very accessible as only a block from rocofort metro (which is about 2 stops from catalunya station-main nightlife area). the airconditioning is very refreshing and staff are very approachable and are always keen to help- they speak and understand english too! we didn't have an ensuite bath on our first night stay but after our request they immediately changed our room the next day- most hotels may have imperfections and problems...what matters is how they are dealt with. maria and paul (u.k.)
