With a mixture of people from around the world, native Catalans and tourists this part of the city seems like it never sleeps. Its just off La Rambla, Barcelonas´ most famous street, which is lined with performing street artists, painters, buskers and there´s always a lot of activity going on around the different kiosks that sell everything from international newspapers to domestic animals. Within this district you will find some of Barcelona´s nicest old buildings such as the National Library of Catalunya and Palau Güell mixed with more modern architecture such as the Contemporary Art Museum – MACBA. There is also a wide range of cuisine, bar, restaurant, of cafe with terraces where you can sit and have dinner or merely just enjoy a drink.
