Myself and partner stayed for two nights recently. I was situated in great place in Barcelona and that is the best thing about it. The service was average the bedrooms were average and you thought of your safety and your possesions the whole time. sorry but it gets the thumbs down. but hey my standards may be higher then some

Pros: Perfect location. try to get the la rambla & placa catalonya view upon check in. they would be glad to give it to you if available. they say there is noise but not really once you close the door you don't here that much of noise. i would suggest anyone that visits barcelona and is not looking for a fancy hotel.

Pros: The hotel was right on plaza ce catalunya so it was noisy at night and not in the best area but we booked it for an early transfer to the airport (the buses are right outside) so it was perfect for us. it's on las ramblas so plenty of buzz, places to eat and people around. the hotel staff were very keen to help, the rooms were very clean and while the bathroom was tiny it was perfectly good for one night's stay. beds were comfy, tv worked and great view of the plaza. metro stop outside.
Cons: Be aware it's a noisy area and not the safest place at night but good hotel. the old town is better for a longer stay.

Pros: Hotel was very well situated, right in the centre of the city,we had a lovely room overlooking the ramblas, the single room my brother was very disappointing, to small and stuffy.would be better to book double room still good value the staff were very helpful breakfast was good value too.

Pros: We were on 5th floor, but it is called the 4th floor. no proper reception area. just enough space to stand but in way of the lift.
Cons: Life was out of order on morning of departure 14/5/10 but was repaired when we called back for our luggage later.

Pros: The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. the staff were very attentive and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast is very poor with very little choice and not worth the 5 euros charged.
the noise from the street is very disturbing all the way through the night (suggest double glazing).
the mattresses are extremely hard and offer a extremely poor level of comfort.
we was in a party of 6 and were all exhausted due to lack of proper rest.
