Cons: Computers were very hard to use. not enough information available near computers. need to have something with information on using them. also need more lights in room and mirrors, to make it easy for two ladies traveling together

Pros: The hotel is in a great location, very modern, quiet and comfortable. we were given a room with a jacuzzi bath and i was very impressed with the main facilities in the room.
Cons: The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in a 5 star hotel is ridiculous, particularly when traditional, english tea is not readily available outside the hotel. our first room had no cold water, and although we were happier to receive a jug of water each day rather than go through the inconvenience of unpacking to move to another room, we were told we would have to pay for a jug of water each day! we therefore moved to another room and were given breakfast for the inconvenience. however, i would not recommend anyone pay for breakfast at the hotel as it was certainly not worth it. the tv in the room only had two channels in english - both news so that was very boring, particularly when you choose a modern hotel knowing you will be spending evenings in your room. i was also not happy to sign a receipt in spanish when i don't understand the language. i was told they could not print the receipt in english for me which i find unnacceptable for a top hotel in such a large cosmopolitan city as barcelona.

Cons: Yes, the spa was not open on the day we arrived as we wanted to treat ourselves to some pampering even though it was stated open on the website and hotel information. the water running into the bath trickled out and took half an hour to fill. breakfast & spa were additional prices which for the price of the hotel should not have been. the hotel information stated that the hotel was situated near la ramblas, but was miles away.

Pros: The hotel was in a great location, easy to get around to the different sites. the buffet breakfast was very good and a good price. they provided us w/a two for one deal which worked out well.
Cons: They were short-staffed at the reception desk and bellboy areas.

Pros: It was a nice clean hotel but was like a normal business hotel equal to a good 3 star or a fair 4 star. see note below about spa
Cons: I downgraded this hotel as service and facilkities were not part of the hotel offer unless i was prepared to pay an extra 39 euroes. this should be advertised with the illustration of the facilities or the facilities should not be illustrated. i chose this hotel because of this only to find out that i would have to pay extra - not happy.
