Melia Barcelona is located in a great part of the city for anyone looking to visit Barcelona. The luxurious hotel is right in the heart of modern, cosmopolitan Barcelona, next to the most popular shopping malls (El Corte Inglés, L'illa Diagonal) and business centers.
While in Barcelona, visit as well other nearby points of interest, such as the Olympic Village (2 km), Sitges (35 km), Barcelona's Casino (2 km), the Costa Brava (60 km) or Montserrat (68 km).
How to reach the Meliá?Go to Estació Sants and from there take a bus 32 (1.30€) or take a taxi for aprox. 7€ (it’s depend on the luggage).
From the airport:
The airport of Barcelona is about 20 minutes away.Arrive by car:
Take Ronda de Dalt – exit 11 Diagonal - toward to Francesc Macia, turn to Avenida Josep Taradellas and then to Avenida Sarria.
Taxi:
From the airport, price from Terminal T1 cca 35 Euro and from the Terminal T2 cca 25 Euro.
Take a train to Estació Sants or take Aerobus (3.90€) to Plaza Espanya and from there bus 27 (1.30€).
Nearest metro L5 blue line Hospital Clínic (1.30€) which is 10 minutes walking.

The bed was massive
They down graded our room as they had problems with some of the faclities but i did not feel that we were compensated enough for the change.Anonymous

The hotel was in a great location, easy to get around to the different sites. the buffet breakfast was very good and a good price. they provided us w/a two for one deal which worked out well.They were short-staffed at the reception desk and bellboy areas.Anonymous

It was a nice clean hotel but was like a normal business hotel equal to a good 3 star or a fair 4 star. see note below about spa I downgraded this hotel as service and facilkities were not part of the hotel offer unless i was prepared to pay an extra 39 euroes. this should be advertised with the illustration of the facilities or the facilities should not be illustrated. i chose this hotel because of this only to find out that i would have to pay extra - not happy.
