Pros: Very nice staff. perfect location. price-performance ratio is fair.
Cons: Mold in apartment. if your room is close to the reception and the restroom it's very noisy at night you'll wake up a couple of times. the feathers in the mattress stitch into the back.

Pros: As a single traveler, this was a great, affordable place. each morning coffee and toast were served, clean towels everyday, and it was very clean.

Pros: Such friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, relatively quiet for the location.
Cons: It is confusing as you first arrive, as the hotel's entrance at street level looks just like a gate leading to an apartment building. there is an intercom at the door, if you buzz that and say your surname they will let you in, and you have to walk up a fair few flights of stairs before you come across the hotel!
also - this wasn't a negative for us, but - the staff don't speak much english at all, so brush up on your spanish/catalan!

Pros: The hotel is located in a very good location. only 2 minutes from catalunya and a metro station, not to mention it is right next door to la rambla.
Cons: This hotel is a money saver. if you are on a budget and plan to spend most of your days out exploring barcelona, i recommend this hotel.

Pros: Only four women run this pension they are very hard working we got clean towels every day and clean sheets every other day, breakfast was two slices of toast and a magdalana cake and two pots of jam, with coffee or tea or chocolate what more can you want, they clean everyday you can smell the disinfectant when you come back in, this b&b is very basic yes it could do with a lick of paint and sprucing up but hey for the price what more do you want!

Pros: The hotel is very old and scruffy but apparently clean. tv was only in catalan and spanish. had a room with shared bathroom, even though hotel was fully booked i never had to wait in line to take a shower. location is excellent! just off las ramblas, 5 minutes from aerobus bus stop to airport and subway. slept well no noise issues at night even though the average age of guests was under 30.
Cons: Pillow provided was rock-hard, everything from paint on walls to furniture was scruffy, scraped, bashed. hotel staff was indifferent to the point of being rude. one of the women that served breakfast was extremely rude and patronizing. the hotel is at the top (i think 6 to 7th floor) with dim light and no elevator which was fine for healthy mobile people but i would not recommend if you have small children, lots of luggage or mobility issues.

Pros: Great location and price, balcony, fan, sink in room, enough furniture, comfortable beds, rooms clean. late check in and 24 hour reception. breakfast reasonable and not too early.
Cons: One plug socket/light switch (next to the sink!) was hanging off the wall by its wires, and that light switch not working. no internet, and both the cold drinks/beer and hot drink machines were out of order. said cold drinks/beers available at reception but we were told they had none when we asked. one of the showers in bad repair. not the friendliest welcome when we arrived after a 12 hour journey! plus 92 steps to walk up with no lift, though we were aware of this before we arrived.

Pros: Excellent location. friendly staff. 24 hour reception. free breakfast was satisfactory. balcony with great view. the other guests were friendly. overall, very pleased with this hostel and the experience. this is a basic hostel more for backpackers or for someone looking for a place to sleep rather than someone looking for a high end, full service establishment. i would stay there again as well as recommend to others.

Pros: The room rent is very cheap & lactation is in the center of the city, easy access to the public transportations.

Cons: The old lady that worked as a breakfast waitress and recptionist there was very rude to me, she asked what i wanted for breakfast one morning and i hadnt heard her beacuse i was tired so she rudly walked off in a moood. she deliberatly took my breakfast away and wasnt going to serve me any. she could have come up to me and said excuse me and asked if i wantd any breakfats but she dint give me a chance to respond at all.

Cons: To even advertise it as "with breakfast" is a joke unless your not bothered about waiting 30 minutes every morning for 2 slices of toast and 1 drink.both automatic machines were also out of order.
