 "worst ever"
This place is nothing just a dump! Its looks like in horror, one big gate - behind darkness! Steps up and reception with staff with no english! Rooms right next to reception... We booked double and we were offered room with 3 single. Other offered room was stuffy with no window, cold, dirty and scary! We ran away! I will claim refund as this should NOT be advertised!

 "A shocking place..."
You should be very attentive to find the door of this "pension". After that you need to pass several doors with digital code, so it is not so easy. But the location is great. You are always near the metro station and 10 minutes from La Rambla. Pictrures of rooms do not correspond to reality. It was a great shock to see them. Did we pay for dirty, old room with view on some constructions? I was afraid to touch something, I had a feeling that all was dirty. I think this hotel needs great global repairs ...Personal was kind, but did not speak English, so we used all our gesture to explain that we just want to change our towels. I strongly do not recommend this place to stay. You should not spoil your impressions from Barcelona staying there...

 "Basic pension"
Had some nice days at Barcelona! Can imagine that the pension is very hard to find as there is no sign outside.Lots of noise at the stairs and at the pension all night, so we had some nights without sleep. A bit shabby and basic. Had a watercooker but no cups... All can use some improvement... Staff were kind.

 "Needs improvement"
Although there are several locks before you actually get into the hotel, the room locks look like skeleton keys, and are hard to use. The safe did not work; the only way to get fresh air is to open the door to the balcony, which is connected to all of the other balconies; not a secure feeling, especially as it opens onto a decrepit courtyard. No headboard, and the lighting was not conducive to reading in bed. Dirty painted walls. Dingy bathroom shower etc. It looks like maybe they are upgrading, but it had yet to happen for our room.

Pros: It does what it says on the can: cheap quiet accomodation in central barcelona
Cons: Like most low budget spanish hotels, it's a bit dark and the bathroom faintly smells of damp - but it's what you expect at the price, can't complain really
