Had some nice days at Barcelona! Can imagine that the pension is very hard to find as there is no sign outside.Lots of noise at the stairs and at the pension all night, so we had some nights without sleep. A bit shabby and basic. Had a watercooker but no cups... All can use some improvement... Staff were kind.

Although there are several locks before you actually get into the hotel, the room locks look like skeleton keys, and are hard to use. The safe did not work; the only way to get fresh air is to open the door to the balcony, which is connected to all of the other balconies; not a secure feeling, especially as it opens onto a decrepit courtyard. No headboard, and the lighting was not conducive to reading in bed. Dirty painted walls. Dingy bathroom shower etc. It looks like maybe they are upgrading, but it had yet to happen for our room.

Pros: Kind and service minded staff
Cons: Chance of room. noise from traffic, doorbell and -telephone. small not so tidy and clean room at first.

Pros: It does what it says on the can: cheap quiet accomodation in central barcelona
Cons: Like most low budget spanish hotels, it's a bit dark and the bathroom faintly smells of damp - but it's what you expect at the price, can't complain really

Pros: It was a great locstion, room was clean, day staff nice
Cons: Various things in the review did not exist ie mini bar (it was a small barely functioning fridge on floor)shower head broken, net curtains only & dirty (take eye patches!), broken tiling in bathroom, very noisy (take earplugs!)night staff very unwelcoming,no-one spoke english (although not really a problem)

Pros: Hotel location is perfect, in the city centre, near the metro station. for that money, probably, we have to be satisfied, in spite of minuses.
Cons: Very noisy from the streets.terrible smell of chlorine in the room. nowadays it's possible to use other detergents for cleaning rooms. there were no chairs in the room. mirror "disappeared" on the 2nd day. pillows should be changed. staff members don't speak english.
