"As a hotelier myself i have reasonable expectations of how a hotel is set..."
Pros: As a hotelier myself i have reasonable expectations of how a hotel is set out and the staff within the hotel. i found it difficult to think of few postive aspects of this hotel. the location of the hotel was in an excellent location, very close to transport links and famous sites of the city. the free safe provide in the room was a nice touch along with the i-pod dock, although it was not compatiable with i-phones.
Cons: The negative aspects of this hotel are easier to think of than the positives, as i have said before working within the hotel industry i notice the smaller touches which hotels provide, i found that the staff of the hotel were unfriendly their was niether a hello of goodbye to any guests which came and left through out the day. alot of the time many of the staff were on the phone which appeared to be private calls, which i find very unprofessional. upon checking in the girl behind reception was rude you could tell she did not want to be there, this was a very sour first welcoming. the rooms them selves were poorly laid out and was difficult to move around. the maintance of the rooms and the hotel itself were poorly maintaned, by keeping up with this the business would be able to maintain the atmopshere and look of a boutique hotel. along with this we went for a romantic week away however the bed was not fixed to the wall so this meant the bed would move at the slightst movement the sink within the bathroom also so was not attached to the wall which is unpractiable to use if it moves. we had paided for a high tech room the only thing high tech in the room was a laptop, which every room was provided, the name had greater exceptations than what was actually provided. over all i think when your reading this review i feel you see that we had a negative expereince due to the hotel itself not the city. and i hope that people do not have this same expereince at my hotel.
