 "Residencia Melon District Poble Sec"
The staff friendly and helpful. There was a need to replace the room (air conditioner did not work). Immediately replaced. The room is clean, but clearly audible street noise. Located near the metro, around the cheap cafe-bars. Nearby there is a supermarket. The hotel provides shelf in the refrigerator and freezer. There is a place for cooking. A good hotel.

Cons: Really bad, wouldn't go back. this is a hostel with hotel prices. rooms are tiny and the air con didn't work in our room so it was red hot. pictures on the websites are completely misleading. there was no roof in the room - just exposed flooring!! we complained and got moved to a studio flat which was much nicer, but for the price i would expect somewhere much nicer. spend your money on a hotel, i wouldn't pay more than 15/20 euro a night for this place

Pros: The location is great, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: We had booked 3 double rooms, which had been confirmed. at arrival, the hotel receptionist tried to tell us that the rooms were not available and we have been "upgraded" to an apartment! only after we refused to take this and argued for close to 30 min, were we given the originally booked rooms!

Pros: Fantastic location. situated right beneath the montjuic, not far from nou camp stadium, placa catalunya or the ramblas. nice clean, standard room with helpful hotel staff. en suite was also very good.
Cons: Perahps a lack of choice on the cafe menu....but this was not really a problem as there are many places to eat nearby along paral-lel.

Cons: It was about a 20-25 minute walk to las ramblas - not bad, just something to be aware of. bathroom was quite small.

Pros: The staff were always on hand to help and spoke good english. the building and rooms were very secure, requiring key card access to the building with a safe in every room. the shared kitchen area was very spacious and came in useful, with individual, lockable, fridge and cupboard compartments for each room. it was shared by around 10 rooms and also had a tv. the pool area on the roof was a nice addition, good for having a drink before heading out on an evening. the location was also great, within walking distance of bari gotic, las ramblas, parc de montjuic amongst others and just across the road from raval. the hotel as a whole was very presentable with a rather modern, industrial style decor.
Cons: The rooms are very small, with a cupboard-like shower-room/toilet. however we didn't find this a problem; the room was only used to sleep in and the larger kitchen and pool areas served us very well. for the price, i have no complaints. if you're simply looking for somewhere to sleep at a good price in the centre of the city, i couldn't recommend it enough!
