Silken St. Gervasi Barcelona  

We stayed there for 2 nights. The room and the bathroom were big, clean and new, the staff was friendly and helpful, but sometimes made mistakes (didn't put the bath towels after taking the old ones). But the overall impression was good.The location is close to the FGC metro station, but to get to most touristic places you will need to change the line, usually in Catalunya square; FGC trains have rather big intervals (up to 15 min).Their weakness is Wi-Fi. It was uncomfortable: no signal in the room, you have to go down to the lobby, type username and password each time in the browser (and if you leave them in your room you have to go down twice!); after one day they expired and I had to get the new one.

Pros:- Room was ok, nothing special (furniture could be up to date).--> Warning: 1st floor is for smokers. Unfortunatly i stayed my first night in a room in that stinky floor and i am a non-smoker... it was just terrible!!! next day i got a room in 3rd floor. much better!- Metro Station / Bus Station / Small Supermaket (El Putxet) 1 min to go.- Daily room cleaning service.- Very friendly stuff (only the one guy in the restaurant/bar seemed to be incompetent. see below)Contras:- Garage not really usable, moving/turning the car in the parking slot nearly unpossible and for that it is too expensive (18€/day)- Restaurant: I tried to use the restaurant for one time. There was only 1 person, who act as barkeeper/service/cook/... at the same time. After waiting 15min without any service at the bar, i asked him how long it would take to get something to eat. Answer 45min more. Unbelievable! His job is not easy, but he could speak to me, instead of letting me wait so long without giving me any information... I went to Pizzaria near to the hotel and got my Pizzas in 10 minutes.- Housekeeping/cleaning personal was so loud, it was unpossible to sleep. i thought she is maybe trying to CLEARING OUT the room, instead of CLEANING. she rammed/hammered the vaccuum clenaer at any furniture/door/...- Connectivity with WLAN could be better.I booked that hotel because its cheaper price compared with the other hotels.I think, next time i would book a hotel near to Pl Catalunya.

Pros: The hotel was very clean, and staff were helpful.
Cons: A little more awkward to the airport and touristy stuff. but to be fair that´s not the hotel´s fault.

Pros: The room was very clean. they provided new tooth paste, shower gel and shampoo everyday. had hair dryer in the bathroom. had strongbox in the room. good tv. good air conditioner. very near to a metro station. and the most satisfying part was the staff.
Cons: Might have been a little expensive for that season. however, maybe i booked a bit too late, 10days before travelling.

Pros: Good location, very helpful staff. i'd stay there again.

Pros: We were only on a vry short visit but the staff were very helpful and friendly to us
Cons: We arrived very late form the airport very hungery but couldn't get anything to eat at that time so had to get something outside the hotel

Pros: Modern, pleasant environment. staff were always polite and very helpful. good location.. in a quiet side street with easy access to the city by 'metro'.
Cons: No. however, breakfast, (which we did not actually have) seemed expensive.

Pros: The room was extremely clean! it was in a great location.

Pros: Accomodation good value & good size rooms, fairly well equipped. easy access into the city from el putxet station which is 2 mins away. reception staff were helpful.
Cons: Dinner was overpriced & the menu was quite limited. also they didn't start serving until 8.30pm - i like to eat earlier 6-7pm.

Pros: Air con was great not noisy and intrusive; staff spoke good english,room was good, well kept hotel,would recommend and stay again
Cons: Could have done with a map as it was so easy to find once we had discovered it was so near public transport

Pros: Clean room regularly serviced - not the place if you are looking for a room with a view (looks out onto small brick courtyard. staff were helpful. would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room.
Cons: Took us a while to find it! as it was not near saint gervasi station - would be useful to make the location very explicit on the website and info sent through.

the dining room and bar were not very inviting - sited in the reception area so no atmosphere - always empty.

Pros: Nice location,only three stops on the tube to the city center

Pros: Very comfortable bed and bathroom. quiet location.
