The Sunotel Aston is a great hotel located in a fantastic area. It is in the Diagonal / Plaza Francesc Macia. It is also close to the Fair (Plaza Espana), the Congress Center, the railway station.
The hotel is connected with the airport and the principal motorways.

Go along Autovia Castelldefels and Gran Via Corts Catalanes, go through España Square, go straight on until you get to Comte Urgell Street and turn on the left, go up this street till the corner the Sarriá Avenue and the París street.
From TARRAGONA-LÉRIDA-MADRID:
Go along A-2 Motorway and Diagonal Avenue, turn right into Numancia Street, go down this street and turn left into Berlin Street, go straight on until you get to Paris Street and go along this street till the corner the Sarriá Avenue.
By Public Transport:
Take the train to Sants Railway station or take the airport bus and get off at the stop in the train station (Sants Estació). From the train station you can take Metro line 5 to the Hospital Clínico stop. Alternatively, you can take bus number 32 and get off at the stop at Buenos Aires.

We interacted with 3 different concierges. 1 was helpful and relatively friendly but the other 2 were unfriendly and not helpful.
we were cold on the 1st night because of their ac/heating system could not be adjusted. thus we asked for an additional blanket on our 2nd night but the concierge was not able to provide us with one because it was "too late" (slightly past midnight to be more precise). Ferdinand

Very good location and the room was very clean. also we were lucky enough to be on the top floor and had a fantastic view.The shower was absolutely awful to the point where we couldn't use it, we had to run a bath every day as the shower head ran either freezing or scorching hot. the tap water was also undrinkable, it tasted like luke warm salt water so i would advise buying your own large bottle of water to keep in the room for brushing teeth etc. (mini bar water too expensive to use every morning and night). also the woman on reception wasn't rude but wasn't friendly, hardly even looked at us when she was dealing with us, despite our attempts to speak spanish and smile, be friendly etc. however considering the price and fantastic location it was worth putting up with the negative comments i have listed here.Waite

Good position. Staff doesn`t speak english very well. aircon is very noisy and not individually controlled, so i`d to ask receptionist to switch it off.Anonymous

Staff (michael) tried so hard to speak english and to help us to view the city at its best i.e. methods of transport and places to visit and see. breakfast was excellent and staff again very helpful and willing to please. Not a negative point as we knew when we booked that the spa and sauna was out of action, but would go back to use this hotel with this facility. more options of english menu for evening meals would be more accommodating.
