Catalonian Museum of Archaeology consists of several different parts, and has prehistoric artifacts, ancient Roman and Greek artifacts, as well as other items on loan from other museums such as the Archaeological Museum of Girona and the Archaeological Museum of Barcelona. It contains archaeological items from many sites of interest, as well as monuments and items from various important settlements such as the Iberian settlement of Ullastret, and the Monuments of Olerdola.
The museum has recently been set up in the former Palace of Graphic Arts, where all of the display sections were been brought together from different sites because the Government of Catalonia decided to revive and improve all of the museums in and around the city.
