"Great hotel to stay in if you are wanting to catch a ferry to morocco"

Functional hotel in Algeciras. Recently renovated, this pleasant urban hotel has 160 fully equipped rooms. It has bar, cafeteria and restaurant, in addition to other services such as 24 hour reception desk and safe box. There is a convention hall for business meetings. Located in front of Algeciras¿ commercial area, Hotel Almar is at just 200 metres from the tourist area, filled with shops, restaurants and with a lively nighlife. The hotel is also near the embarking area to Ceuta and Tanger and at a few kilometres from the beach.

Cons: It is not a 3 star hotel for sure! embedded in the 80's. room we stayed in was small, clean but there were ants everywhere. breakfast very poor.
