Córdoba is known for its history and culture. As one of Spain’s smaller, yet frequently visited towns, Córdoba is full of places to see and things to do. The town is known for its extensive collection of museums including the Archaeological Museum. The Museum of Arts is another popular destination in Córdoba, and quite well known for it many exhibits and large collection of sculptures. While in Córdoba, a must visit is the Museum of Julio Romero de Torres; a museum completely dedicated to showcasing the work of this well known painter. Other attractions in Córdoba include the location where many bullfights once happened, called the Plaza de la Corredera. As well in Córdoba you will find the Palace of Viana, an elaborate palace that showcases vast collections of art, old-style furniture and beautiful outdoor gardens.
