Anglès in the province of Gerona, 17 kilometers from the provincal capital Girona. The town is ancient, the oldest building is the ruined Church of Saint Amanc which dates from 1019. The center of the town is compact with the streets and buildings dating back to Medieval times. The ancient town square includes the Town Hall - this was the original square of Angles castle. Almost every warmer month of the year there are one or two fairs in the ancient streets of Angles.
