Calonge is a town of slightly over 10,000 inhabitants, located in the region of Catalonia, Spain. The town borders the sea, and, like several other old Catalan towns, it offers a two-fold attraction for tourists: one part of the town is a well-preserved medieval village, and one part is a busy, contemporary beach-side resort. The medieval part of the town is situated on a hill approximately 4 kilometers from the coast. A road connects the old town to the edge of the Bay of Sant Antoni, where stand the major Calonge hotels, bars, concession booths, and all the other features of modern resorts.

Attractions in Calonge include Calonge Castle, erected in the 1200's in what is now the "medieval" part of town.
