Las Gabias is a town on the Dilar River in the Granada region of Spain. It is eight kilometers from the city of Granada. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are in the background. There are ruins at nearby Cuesta de los Chinos that go back thousands of years. A Roman Baptistery from the 3rd century is the only one of its kind in Spain, and has been declared a national monument. There is also a military tower that was built during the time the area was under Moorish domination.
