Ayamonte is a town of 18,001 permanent residents, located in the region of Andalusia in the south of Spain. Ayamonte stands at mainland Spain's southwestern-most point, adjacent to both the Portugal border and the Atlantic Ocean. A ferry has carried visitors between the two nations for many centuries.
