Broto Hotels and Accommodation
The rustic village of Broto is rather slow-paced and features natural surroundings that include mountains, wide-open space, wilderness, and harbor/waterside scenery. Broto’s closest neighbor, Tramacastilla de Tena, however, is the flipside with its multiple forms of activity, but colorfully complements Broto very well.
Broto, along side Boltaña, has immediate access to the latter’s two major nature parks, namely Ordesa and Monte Perdido (“Lost Mountain”), both of which promote human-nature interaction, peaceful alone time, and activities like picnics and outdoor sports. Unlike most rural areas in Spain, however, Tramacastilla de Tena features several resorts, such as Formigal and Balneario de Panticosa, which are geared to skiing, sledding, and many other winter sports. Other resorts are designed especially for summer activities. Ibón de la Partacua has horseback riding through a choice of about eight different pre-established routes, each one distinctly different than the others. Club Nautical provides water sports. Tramacastilla de Tena also includes multiple museums, which Broto benefits as well. The Eco Museum of Los Pirineos, Museum El Serrabla (popular art), and Museum of Design of Larres Castle present a variety of ongoing cultural exhibitions. The ancient monastery of San Juan de La Peña, actually located in nearby Jaca, is an X-XII century structure that reflects an extremely long and rich history. Those visiting Broto will have unlimited access to all of this, whether it be weeks-long or simply a weekend.
