Griñón Hotels and Accommodation
In certain areas of Spain, visitors can enjoy the opportunity to learn about multiple cultures. The town of Grinon in the Madrid region of Spain is one of these. The village was founded by Arabs and their influence can still be seen today. About 10,000 people live in the town, which is found in the natural habitat known as La Sagra. The town is located at the intersection of important national highways, which makes a budget Grinon hotel a very convenient choice for exploring the region. The highways lead to the towns of Navalcarnero, Chinchon, Fuenlabrada, Casarrubuelos, and Cubas de la Sagra. Plus, the Madrid-Toledo turnpike runs through the town. A cheap hotel in Grinon could be an excellent home base for seeing a number of these towns.
While you are in Grinon, there are several churches that are worth visiting. The Parish Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is built in the Mudejar style on the site of an older chapel. The tower and vault date from the 14th century and other parts were built during the 16th and 18th centuries. Be sure to see the Baroque altarpiece by Juan Correa de Vivar during your visit. Next, see the Clares Convent of the Incarnation, founded in 1523 and done in the Baroque style. For a more modern church, see the Church of the Congregation of Christian Brothers built in 1915.
