The apartment is in the heart of Madrid. The location is very good. But it is just above a bar which makes horible noice. The staff is very nice and helpful. If you do not mind noice, maybe you can try it. Certainly not good for the family with young children.

Pros: We were in "letters" & "col" which was very comfortable very clean, nicely decorated, & close to everything
Cons: The kitchens have the bare minimum of equipment/utensils for cooking & eating - one plate/glass per person so if you were having a couple of different things you had to keep washing up before you finished the meal. the 's no jug/kettle for boiling water - we were told to do it in a saucepan on the stove but only had one which you had to use for cooking food so it wasn't suitable for water for tea/coffee. there wasn't anything the right size to boil water in microwave.the apartments are extremely noisy until 7 or 8 in the morning. a clothes dryer would be better than the dish washer. if these things could be fixed the apartment would be perfect for anyone to stay in.

Pros: Apartment was clean, modern and conveniently located.
Cons: This apartment advertised a welcome pack including local wines which we never received. there was no supplies like tea or coffee, not even a jug or toaster. only two rolls of toilet paper given and no cleaning products at all. very minimal cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. we had to buy our own utensils in order to cook for 4 adults, yet the room catered for 5. it is situated in a red light district where prostitutes wait for "work" in our street and our apartment doorway. they were harmless, but i did have to worn my teenage sons and my father got approached several times. this information would have been good to know. very noisy with a night club right next door to the apartment that parties till 5am.

Pros: Great apartment - one twin room, and a big double sofa-bed in the lounge. very clean and very good location in central madrid.
Cons: The road (calle de la cruz) is quite noisy. there is a club below
