 "Birthday visit"
Excellent location within comfortable walking distance of major attractions and very close to two Metro stations. Air conditioning not used in March so rooms did become a little hot and breakfast dining area likewise. Staff friendly and helpful and rooms and beds very comfortable. Tiny lift an experience, but rarely had to wait too long.Easy2book reservation only partially received (for second time in different hotels), but again hotel able to accommodate us. Clear communication issue for Easy2book here.

Pros: Location was great, cleaning lady and her staff were very friendly and efficient- unlike the receptionists that seemed bored with their jobs.
Cons: Room was small, wifi had a poor signal- did not work on my ipad. minibar needed a key and that didn't work either, but they did try to bill me for it!

Your position in this area allows you to visit Gran Via Madrid, Plaza del Callao and even Puerta del Sol easily. An entertaining option in the near vicinity, Buen Retiro Park is worth a visit. Nearby Thyssen Bornemisza Museum and Prado Museum are worthwhile cultural attractions.
