Pros: It's close to the palace (placa real) and walking distance to gran via and metro stations
Cons: For starters, this is not a hostel. it is shared residence with the owners, but the rooms are seperate. we shared the bathroom with the owners as it is a room in the owners house. although not physicaly seperated, the owners gave us privacy. the location of the room was in a seedy looking area which made us feel unsafe. the building and room are nothing glamorous, just average looking appartments blocks. the price we payed for the room didn't feel representative of what we got and the info given on the site was misleading (free tv - all spanish, very fuzzy, only 6 channels) (free wifi - good luck with this if you don't speak spanish) owners don't speak a word of english.
