If you are looking for a central European location for your holiday, then why not book your budget hotel in Madrid by the Plaza de Cibeles. The plaza is one of the most well known locations in Madrid, and contains buildings of architectural and historical interest including the Mayor’s office, the Bank of Spain, the staff headquarters of the Spanish army and the Palace of Linares.

There are also two fountains in the centre, one of Neptune and the other of Cibeles. The fountains used to face towards each other, but at the end of the 19th century were turned around so they now both face towards the centre of the city. This attractive square is popular with tourists and locals alike. So think about booking your cheap hotel near the Plaza de Cibeles in Madrid for both a great central spot for sightseeing, and a picturesque view for looking at from your hotel window.
