The Hostal Mirentxu is located on the third floor of a building in the very heart of Madrid, near the principal museums such as El Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofia, which is in the same street of the hostel, and also a few minutes from Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace. Pros: The staff was very friendly. the rooms were clean and the location of the hostel near the famous attractions is convenient.
Cons: The hostel is on the third floor of a building which houses many other hostels. there is no big sign board or anything like that to easily locate the hostel in the street.
the manager doesn't know english. that was a bit of a problem but the other staff knows english good enough to communicate.
