In the very near vicinity of the hotel is a wide array of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as the Mercado Fuencarral shopping centre and beautiful Plaza de España. Within a few minutes' walk are interesting sights like the Las Decalzas Reales Monastery and Almuneda Cathedral, as well as several metro stations allowing easy access to all of Madrid.
How you can get to Stadmadrid
From Madrid Barajas Airport: Take metro line 8 direction 'Nuevos Ministerios' and change metro at metro stop ‘Mar de Cristal’. Change to metro line 4 direction 'Argüelles' and change metro at metro stop ‘Alonso Martínez’. Change to metro line 5 direction 'Casa de Campo' and get off at metro stop ‘Gran Vía’. The hotel is at only 3 minutes walking distance from the metro station.
From Atocha station: Take the subway from Atocha RENFE station, situated on the same station of AVE and Cercania. Take the metro line 1 also known as the “Blue line” direction ‘Plaza de Castilla’ and get off at the metro stop ‘Gran Vía'. The hotel is at only 3 minutes walking distance from the metro station.

Cons: Hot water did not work well.
Cons: We booked two apartments but were given two bedroom for one of the two apartments for the first night. the staff told us it was becasue the guests in the apartment reserved for us did not move their luggage out and the no other apartments were avaialble to accommodate us. on the following day, the apartment they gave us was still like two rooms. the space was so limited that it was like one single room with two beds in and one double room with two beds and one sofa-bed in. the apartment should have been for four people but only it could only accommodate a small tea table with two chair so that we could not sit altogether at the same time. wifi could only be available around the corner of the apartment. when sitting on the chairs by the tea table, no wifi was available. as for the other apartment we had got, the space was bigger but still not enough. the hot water for shower was only enough for one person and the others had to wait for ages. the fuse jumped for dosens of times for the first night so it was really annoying. the staff came trying to fixed midnight but in vain. we finally found the next morning that it was because the all the electric heaters were left on to the maximum which were not checked by the staff.
Cons: The walls are not sound-proofed enough. one night the people next door were having an intense argument and i could not get to sleep because of the noise.
eng the very clean hotel, no noise, bed linen were very clean. the kitchen was very well equipped: microwave, toaster, fridge, lots of glasses. the water was hot, there was a tv but only with spanish channels. we got dryer when we asked for. the biggest adventage of this hotel is that it's close to the main street in madrid- gran via, and there is a nice store with relatively cheap food.
Cons: A little bit hard to find at first, but once you know where it is, it is very easy to find!
Cons: Noise can carry, out of our 4 nights we had one night where some drunken english people made so much noise when they came in at 5am.

Cons: There was nobody at the reception on arrival time (7am) and the interphone was turned off.
Cons: Shower blinds should be changed.
Cons: Poor sound isolation.
Cons: There was building work (walls being knocked down) in progress upstairs directly above my room on the afternoon i arrived and the following morning from 9am. i wish i could have been informed before booking.
