Cons: Toilet too close to wall.. and after all that jamon you will need a toilet.
Cons: The room was gross and very dirty. our door did not lock properly and when it did lock it took forever to unlock! it took us 20 minutes to leave our room. i also did not feel comfortable having to leave our room key at the front desk every time we left the hostal. even though the bathrooms were shared they could be a lot cleaner. they smelled so terrible i did not shower in them for the time that i was there. they could've also warned us of all of the construction that was happening in the front of the building. i woke up with nose bleeds from all of the dust that came in from the balcony.
Cons: Air conditioning would have been nice at night
located in the heart of madrid, next to plaza santa ana, about three hundred meters from the metro sol, close to most tourist attractions and museums. we arrived at the hotel at night and we were warmly greeted the master of the hotel, took us to the room. we got a very good impression of the hotel employees - administrators and maids. they tell us nothing had been denied, the room was clean taken away, one of the administrators knew the russian language and helps out a lot, including set up wireless internet in the computer.
because our windows faced the street principe, rather than into the yard, then on fridays and saturdays, people in the city (it is a tradition in spain and, of course, in madrid) walks up in the morning, and we with them, but already in his room, no sleep till 6 am.
but it does not claim, but simply a statement of fact.
Cons: There was no intention to give us the double room we reserved - in the two visits at the hotel, we had to insist. bring a coat if u come in winter - the room is cold!
Cons: Make sure the mattress is clean. look under the white sheets and pillows. not stubble for married or couples.
Cons: The rooms are a little old and would deserve to be repainted.
