If you want to stay in the heart of a city surrounded by a selection of buildings with different architectural styles, Villa Square is the largest building, the former town hall, which also served as a prison. There is also a castle built in the Spanish renaissance style. The tower that is one of the oldest buildings in Madrid, and is built in the Mudejar style.
In the centre of the square is a fairly new addition, which is a statue of the man that planned the Spanish Armada fleet which invaded Britain. The contrasting architectural styles of the buildings in the square make it a very interesting place to see.
