Benalmádena is a medium sized town with thirty thousand inhabitants on the Costa Del Sol. Only 19 kilometers from Malaga Airport, Benalmádena is easy to reach by road, train or bus, and has grown rapidly over the last twenty years. Great for a sunny Mediterranean weekend, Benalmádena is very popular with British tourists. There is plenty to do in Benalmádena for those who don’t want to lie on the beach all day - there is Tivoli World Theme Park and the popular Jardin de Las Aguilas, garden of the eagles – or visit Selwo Marina, ride in the cable car and see the breathtaking views that make up the Costa Del Sol. Along the Marina Promenade you will see displays of artists’ mosaics or you can go and take a look at Santa Domingo, a twelfth century church located in the heart of Benalmádena. Visit Castillo De Colomares, a castle built in remembrance of Christopher Columbus - or visit Benalmádena Exhibition Center in the coastal area of the town. If you are hungry and thirsty at the end of a long day, then go native at the Merendero Virgen Del Mar located at the Playa Los Maites.
