Arona is a prominent tourist municipality on the Southern coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. From Arona you can access 15 km of beaches on the Atlantic coast, which is only a few kilometers from the town; you also have a magnificent view of the mountains. Visit Teide National Park when you are visiting Arona. There are many terrific restaurants in the park, featuring Canary Island cuisine that gives you a hint of the Canary Island culture. You can even take a bus – for free – to the park from Puerto de la Cruz, Las Americas, and Los Gigantes.
