San Andrés de Tenerife is a small village in the town of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Tourists from different parts of the country often visit this place for the weekend. San Andrés de Tenerife Beach doesn’t only provide a good place to enjoy the water and sand; it also provides a great view of the nearby island, the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Aside from the beach, the Torre de San Andrés is also one of the village’s attractions. The structure was built as a fortification to protect the village from incoming invaders or pirates. Iglesia de San Andrés is another famous attraction. Inside it houses some of the island’s impressive religious sculptures such as the Virgen de Fatima and Virgen de Carmen.
