    Visitors of Lope de la Vega Theater in Seville are in for a cultural treat. The building, original designed almost one hundred years ago, is still in operation as a theater. Visitors should check with their concierge or the theaters box office to see if the theater is offering a play, a musical, a concert, or other event during their time in the city.The Lope de la Vega Theater was designed for the Latin America Exposition in 1929 as the Pavilion of Seville. After the expo the building became a casino and then, in 1980, was redesigned and turned into a theater. The name comes from Spains most famous playwright, Lope de la Vega, the Spanish Shakespeare. After an evening at the theater, guests can dine and enjoy late night entertainment at the elegant and world famous Café de Casino. This 1920s style restaurant is authentically outfitted in period style with glamorous chandeliers, marble, mirrors, and private terraces.
