Also known as the Queen Sophia Palace of the Arts, this new building has been designed to inspire a futuristic theme or temple dedicated to Queen Sophia. Opened in October of 2005, this massive structure cost over 163 million dollars to build and is considered to be one of the biggest music facilities in the world. The total area of the building is 40, 000 meters square and is 12 stories tall.
The building is home to a symphonic concert hall, an opera house, a ballet performance area as well as a full theater. Seating of up to 4000 people is possible between these four main venues. For many people that enjoy the arts, finding a budget hotel near the Arts Palace of Queen Sophia in Valencia really is a dream come true. Even for those that aren't music lovers, the grounds of the building are extraordinary to view, with lushly landscaped gardens, footpaths and ponds equal in size to the building itself.
