Sos del Rey Católico is one of the most important historical municipalities in Spain. The town is also known for its Palacio de Los Sada, the birth place of Ferdinand II, the King of Spain in 1452. Every weekend, Sos del Rey Católico is flooded with visitors who want to get a closer look of the castle that housed one of the most powerful men in Spanish history. Another castle, Palacio de Los Niño was built during the 16th century. This castle used to be the first home of the congregation of the Daughters of the Charity for more than 150 years. The town is also not left out when it comes to religious structures. La Iglesia San Esteban was known to have existed since the 12th century but its present structure, however, was from the 16th century.
