If going to the Opera is your idea of a great ting to do on vacation then you should definitely visit the city of Stockholm in Sweden. The city has more than one opera house but the one called Folkoperan is a very unique style of opera house. The Folkoperan puts on, in addition to the traditional and usual operas, some modern contemporary pieces. Some of these contemporary shows can be very interesting and it is certainly something different from the norm.

The Folkoperan is one of the nicest opera houses in the entirety of Stockholm. The Folkoperan opened its doors to the public in the year 1976. The opera house has been going strong ever since. This opera house is one of the top in all of Sweden for unusual operas. Most other opera houses in Sweden only put on traditional Swedish sung operas; the Folkoperan is certainly not this kind of opera.
