Zurzach hotels and accommodation

Zurzach is a small community in the Swiss canton of Aargau. It is on the Rhine River at a location that has always been an important crossing place, giving it considerable commercial and military value. The ruins of a Roman fort can still be seen. Zurzach is now principally known for its health spa. This is a good place to stop for a visit during a vacation, or even spend a weekend. Zurzach is also a good base from which to explore this part of Switzerland. Guests staying in Zurzach hotels can visit the Collegiate Church of St. Verena, which has Romanesque parts dating back to the 10th century. There is also an 18th century Reformed Church. A 19th century chateau houses the August Deusser Art Museum.
