In the city you will find many fun and interesting, sometimes educational, places to visit. The city has a museum called the Scriptorium that any visitor will find most interesting.

The Scriptorium is a very lovely building important to the history of Basel. This great place it the perfect spot to find fountain pens, quills and just about any other writing tools you may well need or want. The Scriptorium is open from the hours of 10 am until noon on Saturdays, also from 2 pm until 5 pm on Saturdays, and it is open from 2 pm until 6 pm on Thursdays through Fridays.
